The Mayan Prophecies
This section of the site proposes a converged view of what the Mayan's were trying to tell us. The following summary is based on the work of many people and brings together the work of Carl Calleman and John Major Jenkins and adds some clarification from Mo. My role has been to understand the viewpoints, ask some questions and pose some answers. As such I am an integrator of knowledge with a focus on getting to the truth. My aim is to get an agreed view of what has happened, is happening and will happen so that those of us who wish to help our system evolve work together to do it..

The earth has an ongoing cycle of evolution based on a 26,000 year cycle (exactly 65 Baktuns or five long count 'great' cycles) that starts/completes when the winter solstice sun is aligned with the galactic centre. The next alignment is due on 21 December 2012.
The energies that influence the evolution of the earth and it's flora, fauna and consciousness are governed by the galactic calendar, the Tzolkin, overlaid by the Nine Underworlds. The full cycle of the nine underworlds lasts 65 Baktuns, starting on 1 Imix before a Galactic Alignment and finishing on 13 Ajaw before the next.
Each underworld level has 13 cycles (7 days and 6 nights) and each level is a factor shorter than the previous one. All nine underworlds end on the same day (13 Ajaw just before a galactic alignment - 14 July 2012). This end point triggers a tenth level - a 169 day period of thirteen 13 day cycles. I'm calling this the galactic alignment period as it is a time where the earth prepares for the final event in the cycle - the Galactic Alignment.
One hundred and sixty days after the nine underworlds end, on a 4 Ajaw day - 21 December 2012, the winter solstice sun rises in alignment with the galactic centre. At this point the group entity that the Mayan's called Bolon Yokte K'uh comes to earth to complete the cycle, staying for 9 days before leaving.
My current understanding is that with the arrival of Bolon Yokte K'uh will come a major shift for the world, a quantum increase in world consciousness and vibrational level; the next step in evolution.
Implications of the converged view
The first implication I would put forward is that, like life, this is about the journey and not the event. Though there is an icing on the cake event on 21 December 2012, it is not something we should be sitting there waiting for. It is however a useful marker that, as we approach it, indicates that our capacity to evolve on a physical, spiritual and galactic level is increasing at a rapid pace. The nine underworlds communicates this speeding up and we all need to be taking advantage of this opportunity to prepare ourselves; once we are past 13 Ajaw - 14 July 2012 we drop back to slow time as the next First Underworld starts.
The second implication is that the nine underworld evolution is greatly compressed in comparison to Calleman's timescales of 19 billion years. As such we have a lot more energy impacts to come between now and 14 July 2012.
In Calleman's model the next underworld doesn't start until one is in the seventh day of the previous underworld. In a much compressed view where the nine underworlds takes a total of 65 baktuns, at the time of writing:
So I think that until we hit July 2012, things are going to get interesting. We're already seeing 'stuff' happening and I suspect it will get more frequent as 2012 approaches. Hopefully this site will contribute in some way to your journey.
